Green means it received the command but doesn't know what to do with it, so you'll have to link a parameter to it to make it have any effect - you'll probably get this from the knobs and sliders. Orange means it received the command and is passing it to whatever channel you have active - you should get this from the keyboard. If you press a key or pad, or adjust a knob or slider, you should see either an orange or green icon light up under the main menu. The main thing that you want to check for is if FL Studio is actually receiving the MIDI information. Not sure if that makes much of a difference, but it works for me. I have a LaunchKey 61 Mk2, and have mine set up similar to how /u/AManWithNoHart does, only I have the controller type actually set to the Launchkey (keyboard) instead of (generic controller).
